RAW CBDa CANNABIS ELIXIR
This raw, full spectrum cannabinoid elixir is extracted using food grade alcohol and distilled water, honey and a small amount of vegetable glycerine. CBDa (cannabidiolic acid) comes from the fresh cannabis plant and is believed to have a higher bioavailability than CBD, allowing more rapid results. CBDa is the precursor of CBD. Similarly, THCa (tetrahydrocannabinolic acid) comes from the raw cannabis plant and is a non-intoxicating precursor to THC. Research suggests that consistent use of cannabinoids promotes the overall effectiveness of the endocannabinoid system which is key to maintaining overall homeostatic balance in the body and stress response network. Store in a cool dark place out of direct sunlight.

In 2019, the legal status of cannabis-derived medicine changed. South Africa officially issued a 12-month exception on all products containing CBD with no scheduling. The exemption came with two caveats – the maximum daily dose must be 20mg or less and the product can’t claim to cure or treat any specific condition. After the exemption has expired, products’ containing CBD will be deemed schedule four, which means they can be bought with a prescription and are not habit-forming.

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of many unique molecules produced by the cannabis plant family, most commonly from hemp. The other most well-known molecule is tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the primary psychoactive found in the marijuana plant. But unlike THC, CBD isn’t psychoactive, which means there is no high when taking CBD.
